SUNRISE KELIMUTU LAKE TOUR

Your adventure begins in the early morning. Our friendly driver will pick you up from your hotel in Ende, ready to take you on an unforgettable journey. The drive takes about 1.5 hours, passing through peaceful villages and lush forest.

Arriving at the base of Kelimutu, we’ll begin a short refreshing trek to the summit of Kelimutu. The hike is not too difficult, taking about 30–45 minutes along a well-maintained path.  As soon as you reach the top just as the sun rises, watch in awe as the sky turns golden, and the famous three crater lakes reveal their mysterious colors. These lakes change shades due to natural minerals in the water—sometimes blue, green, or even red! Local legends say the lakes are resting places for departed souls, making this place deeply spiritual. Take your time to soak in the beauty, capture breathtaking photos, and enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime view of Kelimutu’s magical sunrise.

After an unforgettable morning, we head to Wologai Village, a hidden cultural gem in Flores. The drive takes about an hour, giving you time to relax and reflect on the beauty of Kelimutu. This traditional village is known for its unique wooden houses with thatched roofs, built in a circular shape. These houses, made of bamboo and wood, reflect the rich culture and history of the local people. The village offers a glimpse into the way of life of the Lio Tribe. As you stroll through the village, you’ll feel connected to the timeless traditions of the people who call this place home.

Next, we continue our journey to Murundao Waterfall, a hidden paradise surrounded by lush forest. The drive takes about an hour, passing through scenic landscapes. Murundao Waterfall is the perfect place to cool off and relax. The crystal-clear water flows down from the mountains, creating a refreshing natural pool. Dip your feet in, take a deep breath, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The jungle around the waterfall is home to various birds and butterflies, adding to the magical atmosphere. It’s a great spot for nature lovers and a perfect way to end the adventurous part of the tour.

With hearts full of memories, we’ll take you back to your hotel or directly to Ende Airport if you're catching a flight. As we drive back, take one last look at Flores’ stunning landscapes.
